Structural Integration of the Cranium
Unique training with Sharon Wheeler and specialized teacher Jannie Cnossen. Dr. Heike Jäger will explain cell physiology and the science behind it.
Integrate cranial physiology in manual interventions for the Cranium and Neck area
What is the training about?(SMART (Specific, measurable, acceptable, realistic, time)
In this 5 days workshop you will have the opportunity to learn new techniques for the cranium and neck and apply them right away on your colleagues. And also work on real clients under the supervision of the teachers.
Effective techniques to optimize the function of the Neck area and the Skull will be demonstrated by Sharon or Jannie.
Practice in groups of 2. You feel it and you will do it.
Additionally every student will have the opportunity to work on models with Skull pathologies and follow a treatment
What you will learn?
There will be a mixture of practical an theoretical learning ability.
One of the most important and specific technique is ‘the cranial torque’.
Practical
Assessment by vision and touch to identify areas of particular interest.
Learn Specific techniques for
- the neck and trachea(air and food) tubes
- the TMJ
- the face (zygomatic arch, the nose and eyes area)
- the cranium
- the ears
- integrate the changes (backwork and pelvic lift)
Practice these Specific techniques on a colleague student and a client, and you will feel it on your own body.
Theoretical
Background information about cranial physiology will be presented every day.
Observed big changes in the students and clients will be analysed and explained by underlaying biological mechanisms
What will you able to do after this course?
- You have refined your touch and vision skills.
- You have enough tools/knowledge an practiced this method to implement this work immediately in your practice.
- You will have the newest scientific knowledge about the physiology of the brain and skull.
- You can integrate cranial physiology in manual interventions for the Cranium and Neck area. This means that you are able to recognize, make clear and use connections in different patterns and events to improve your therapeutic thinking and acting.
- You can very effectively influence the shape and asymmetries of the skull
